Testimonials

Just received our CDs and I’m really thrilled at their content. We look forward to distributing them to our schools and hope they will be as thrilled as we are and use them often. The possibilities for learning, even beyond fire safety are great.

The students were able to apply the information from the program to real world situations. In fact, one student actually had a brush fire at her aunt’s home and remembered some of the information from the computer activity and activities that the FD shared during their visit. Good work.

..my Grandson Johnny spent a couple of hours with it and had a great time. He started telling us all about it, what he learned and what we need to do to be Fire Safe. My grandson is ADHD and Dyslexic and he stayed focused on it.

I would love to have this interactive program for our school community which includes parents, students and staff. We do a lot of classes for parents and this subject would be a topic that is greatly needed.

Making History

Despite freezing weather, over 200 elementary school students marched one by one up the steps into the Missouri State Capitol building to engage in a historic event, proclaiming December 9th as FireFacts Day across the state.

Following a tragic fire that took the lives of three young Jefferson City children, Farmers agent Tami Propst felt compelled to support her heartbroken community. What started off as an idea, soon snowballed into a statewide event, gaining support from Missouri State Fire Marshall Randy Cole and Governor Jay Nixon.

Fire Facts Day!

At a special event held at the Capitol, Governor Jay Nixon urged all citizens to protect their homes and families by heeding important safety measures and by supporting the efforts of the Fire Facts Program. Through a Gubernatorial Proclamation, December 9th was then proclaimed "Fire Facts Day" throughout the state.
